Late injury update
No Alvaro Pires, no Ely Allen - and in a bit of a twist, no Abel Xavier. He's being held out as a precautionary measure, but basically Xavier, and/or his body, hates the turf and almost never plays on it.
When you next get a chance with either Bravo/Lalas/Ruud and/or Cobi you should ask some hard questions about why we have essentially a part time player in X who won't play on turf.
There are FOUR teams with turf fields. It's crazy to have a player who doesn't play on these surfaces.
Ditto Rudy, Do you have any info in Valentin? He's no longer on the injury rolls and he's made the bench lately. Has Gullit or Cobi said anything about him?
Valentin is an option - you can check out the latest scrimmage video of on this blog to see him in action. Jazic shows up at the beginning of the clip - Valentin is the one in headgear at the end of the same clip.

Think we'll get to see Valentin this weekend, A.C.?

With the way he's been playing lately, is that necessarily a bad thing?
It will be valuable to see how we do without him. And is there any word on when Ruiz will return?
... and Jazic?
Jazic could see time in the Edmonton friendly, Ruiz a week or two later.
