Kept missing that Kaka story. Thought FIFA enslaved, I mean are in charge of, all players everywhere. Aren't they the only ones that can approve what players do and do not participate in -- barring injury? Or is the Olympics exempt from all that and participation at team's discretion?

to hell with Graham Jones. He had no right to call the Galaxy "cheaters" in his match report on Saturday's match.

It's because FIFA doesn't run the Olympics.

I am somewhat new to reading LA times but I do not think that anyone could do worse than Grahame. It is just bad journalism. It is not what happened and it is not fair to anyone on the team or any of the fans. Even Jim Rome would be better, at least he would be entertaining.
