Liguilla day four

Quarterfinal round is over and the semifinal matchups are:

Santos-Monterrey
Cruz Azul-San Luis

San Luis advanced to the semifinals after a tough 0-0 draw with Toluca. The match did not have any goals but it had plenty of controversy. Referee Roberto Garcia did not call a blatant penalty late in the match that would have given Toluca a spot kick and a chance to win the series. Perhaps Garcia felt he did not call another foul minutes earlier that would have given San Luis a penalty or maybe he just didn't feel like blowing the whistle. Regardless, Marcelo Guerrero got away with shoving Paulo Da Silva inside the box and San Luis escaped.

Michael Orozco, meanwhile, did not play.

Here are the match highlights, which pretty much consist of the two non calls.

Santos, meanwhile, tied Necaxa and advanced to the semifinals on a 3-2 aggregate. Edgar Castillo went the distance for Santos. Juan Pablo Rodriguez scored the equalizer in the 80th minute for Santos. Highlights aren't available yet.
