Chivas lost just twice in the regular season, each by 1-0 scores, en route to finishing atop the table entering the Liguilla.
Monterrey showed Chivas just how little they thought of that accomplishment on Wednesday. Monterrey demolished Chivas by 4-1 and now have a huge advantage heading into Saturday's decisive second leg.
Jared Borgetti had a hat trick as Ricardo Lavolpe won his first Mexican league playoff match since Dec. 1, 2001, when he led Toluca past - as luck would have it - Chivas.
Meanwhile, Jaguares also won their home game as Cruz Azul fell in Chiapas by 1-0. American-born Daniel Hernandez played all 90 minutes in the match and picked up a yellow card in the 50th minute. Itamar Batista scored the game's only goal, in the 85th minute.

having 9 players kinda played a role, dontcha think? i mean the onslaught happened RIGHT AFTER the morales red card.
Yeah, the flood gates opened after Ramoncito was sent off. It's still an ass kicking whether it was 11-on-11 or 11-on-9. It was already over by the time Pato got sent off too.
If im in the situation of the owner of this blog. I dont know how to post this kind of topic. he has a nice idea.
