Welsh is out

Toronto FC cut ties with Andy Welsh and sent him to English Championship side Blackpool. Welsh is just another of the players who failed with Toronto FC, but what makes Welsh's failure startling is just how much he was pulling down.

Welsh made $215,000 this season with the expansion club. To put that in perspective, only one member of Chivas USA earns more (Ante Razov) and only two Galaxy players make more (Landon Donovan, David Beckham), and the Galaxy has the highest payroll in the league.

It may seem like wasted money for a guy who had one goal and three assists in 16 starts and 20 total games, but it's better to cut your losses now and get something for him while you can.

Just another lesson for TFC to learn from.
