Though it seems as if he's absent because we don't see him on the field, David Beckham is still clocking in for duties with the Galaxy. An injury hasn't kept David away from his new team. Cobi Jones reported that Beckham comes in regularly. "Yeah. He’s here today. He’s been around quite a bit. Obviously, he’s frustrated with his situation, but he’s encouraging us. He’s part of this team and he wants to see us do well and be successful."
Later on, coach Frank Yallop clarified that David works on rehab while the Galaxy players practice. I'd guess this way David can also participate in all the team meetings as well.
