The meaning of "unity"

Is it just me that cringes a little when the U.S. coach talks about strong team unity, just before explaining how Hope Solo was excluded from both practice and from even being at the stadium during the Norway game for her comments?

I'm not sure that I see the move to ostracize one of their own as such a shining example of team togetherness. The language of "they support each other, they back each other" is there, but Solo is definitely being shunned.

That press conference disgusted me. It was very clear that this is a team that has been shattered and this is the USSF's way of putting it back together.

Thanks for your continued coverage on this.

Andrea, I'm sure you will be writing something very soon. I tell you I hope every one of the remaining team members know they failed by not stepping up. If there was leadership on that team, they should not of outcast Solo. Just a very sad chapter fo the USWNT

Jeez, I read Andrea's comments, I go to my sandbox and write ten paragraphs of "Yeah, what she said, and ANOTHER THING," and I come back to find Andrea's also there with AND ANOTHER THING as well. I'm glad someone outside of Richland is as furious about this as I am.
