Calero update

Looks like Miguel Calero won't play again this year.

Pachuca president Jesus Martinez said that the club's captain and goalkeeper will be out of action for six months, which rules him out of the remainder of the Apertura 2007 season, Copa Sudamericana and the Club World Cup.

It's disappointing that Pachuca won't have the opportunity to defend their titles and try for another one with their full squad but such is life. At this point, Calero's health is the only thing that matters. He was operated for deep vein thrombosis, a blood-clotting ailment.

It was a nice little tribute the guys paid to their teammate after Cacho's goal yesterday.
