Mexico and Finland tied 0-0 in Frisco, Texas, on Thursday night in El Tri's final preparation match ahead of next week's Olympic qualifiers. In the five matches leading up to the crucial tournament, Mexico went 1-1-3 and is now 370 minutes without scoring a goal (Sunday's 1-1 draw with Australia was buoyed by an Aussie own goal).
Still, the lack of punch hasn't exactly slowed coach Hugo Sanchez's confidence.
"We're ready to compete," Sanchez said after the match. "These matches were preparation and served us well for that... Nobody is going to beat us. This generation is very good and the competition will be different during qualifying."

Mexico has so much talent, its scary. For our (USMNT) sake, lets hope they never get a competent coach. Viva Hugo!
I just hope Mexico doesn't choke, come in second and set up a semi showdown with the US team.
These two teams should be the reps, the way the format allows for one of them to go home is annoying.
