Details

It's good to read anything on how the USWNT is doing at the Algarve Cup, but am I the only one who wondered why this article didn't mention the actual score?

For the record, the U.S. won 4-0. Carli Lloyd, Tobin Heath, Lindsey Tarpley and Abby Wambach scored.

The big upset, though, was Denmark beating the reigning World Cup champions.

I think there's so few sources of information on the USWNT that most fans will take what they can get. And a large majority of that population doesn't necessarily care that the quality of reporting/writing be any good. And if the audience doesn't care, I don't think the producer (writer or publisher) will bother.

Not to be a suck-up, but it's why I enjoy it so immensely when you write an article on any aspect of the women's game. It's a breath of fresh air; someone who knows the game and also cares about the quality of journalism.
