Former Cruz Azul defender Aaron Galindo made his Bundesliga debut on Sunday when he played 41 minutes in Eintracht Frankfurt's 2-1 win over Bayer Leverkusen. Galindo joins Ricardo Osorio and Pavel Pardo as Mexicans who ply their trade in the Bundesliga.
Galindo, however, took a more indirect route to Germany. Galindo had a shot of making the 2006 World Cup team and could have shown off his talents in Germany, as Pardo and Osorio did. But Galindo was banned for a year after testing positive for steroids in the summer of 2005.
Instead of trying to make the World Cup team, Galindo was left without any choice but to sit for a year. Upon gaining his eligibility, Galindo joined Spanish second division side Hercules before heading to Swiss side Grasshoppers.
Now with Frankfurt, Galindo has finally broken through and might continue to establish himself with the club.

Due to his "tainted" past (2005 Confed Cup) I wonder if he'll be summoned for MNT duty
