To be fair. . .

If I point out mediotiempo's gaffe on Eddie Gaven, I have to link this Toronto Sun story.

Puerto Rico? No, Amado Guevara went to his native Honduras to play after leaving Chivas USA. He's the captain of Motagua.

don't forget to chide yourself for writing Montagua instead of Motagua.

That article also says Ronnie O'Brien was traded to the "San Diego Earthquake."

Ok, if you think a typo is comparable, I could bring up the many, many articles that wrote Sacha's name as Klejstan instead of Kljestan, but I didn't because typos happen to the best of us and are different from factual mistakes.

I agree about typos - that's why I said "chide" ... still kind of ironic and something to laugh about.

those guys in toronto don't know much about soccer, they re-write wire briefs for their weekly columns... that's pretty much it, they don't really pay much attention to anything outside toronto. makes sense the sun columnist would confuse honduras with puerto rico, to many of those guys, it's the same thing anyway.
