Asia tour wrap-up

The Galaxy are aware that others view their Asian tour as disappointing, but they don't seem too bothered by that. Frankly, it's in league play where the team needs to prove itself. That starts soon enough.

I read this over on Big Soccer: Galaxy averaged more in the pre-season matches than Chivas USA does in the regular season.

Of course, the Gals aren't bothered by the low attendance. First, they're trying to put a happy face on things, as they always do. Second, and more seriously, they recognize that becoming a "world brand" means taking early and unexpected lumps. This whole Asian tour seemed to be organized in a slipshod fashion from both ends, so maybe the Gals had lower expectations.

And, of course, they sold all those Beckham jerseys, which is their #1 reason to exist....
