Solo still the story

Hope Solo may be the most famous person currently on the US women's national team. She's not playing, however.

indeed she is. At least they are less about the details of keepergate and more about the fact that she is the scapegoat for the bigger issue: ryan.

That's a great article. I keep waiting for someone to make sense of this situation like AC has and this guy has come through. I still wait for the rest of the world to wake up and smell the coffee. Solo, in my opinion, did very little if anything wrong. The blame for the World Cup debacle should be placed squarely on the shoulders of Greg Ryan. If I were Hope Solo, I wound not want to play with teammates that hung me out to dry, much less Ryan.

MC, she's under contract, so she might not have much of a choice.

Wow, pate, if that's the case she must be miserable. I hope that whoever said she is losing battles but will win the war was right.

Good work A.C.!

That was me mc. I really do believe Hope will win this war but you never know, which is why the heat must remain on Ryan.

If articles keep coming out like this superb one by Mr. Kelley, the pressure should continue to mount on the USSF to DO something.

After our bad seed discussion yeserday, I was delighted to see these words by Mr. Kelley and they need to be repeated over and over again.

"Solo, a former Washington Huskies standout from Richland, had no history of problems with her coach or her teammates, but she was treated as if she were some kind of constant clubhouse lawyer.

She was a good teammate who made one mistake, but on a team that preaches unity, she was ostracized. A team that always talked about keeping its problems internal aired this to the world, day after day after day."

Lets see how things go tonight.
