No verdict yet

No word yet on how long Ricardo Clark will be suspended for after his actions against Carlos Ruiz on Sunday.

In case you missed it...

There is absolutely no place in soccer for that kind of boorish and loathsome behavior. If it were up to me, I'd start by suspending Clark for the remainder of this season.

I can't blame Clark for punting Ruiz like he did, but I don't condone it either. I disapprove of Ruiz's style of soccer, he truly is a dirty rotten (there are other choice words) player that gets away w/ murder and someone decided to call him on it, but we don't need retaliatory actions like this in the MLS, a professional league. I would like to see both out for a few games if not for the rest of the season. Although I like Clark, he is a solid player with a good future with the Nat. team but needs to be a little more restrained in this situation. I only seen the video posted on here from you tube, so I didn't see the game, but I imagine Ruiz was his typical self through out the game.

If it were up to me, I'd suspend him for the remainder of the season... suspend a couple of his teammates... say, six or seven of them, for the next game only, just in case any of them got evil thoughts.

if clark, who has been around the league for years, lets carlos ruiz, who has been pulling the same crap for years, get inside of his head so easily then i want clark nowhere near that nats.
ruiz is no saint, but there's much worse in concacaf and globally than that. if clark can't handle it then he doesn't belong with the bob and co.

Good thing you're not the coach. Look, Rico lost it. He'll learn, he'll do his time, and he'll move on. And he and Bradley Jr. will be the D-mids for the Nats for years to come.

Whatever percipitated this incident, Clark's got to be gone for the remainder on the season. This was pretty deliberate. He did not miss Ruiz's head by much.

Although I don't condone it, it must be said that it must not have hurt Ruiz much since he got kicked in the side and immediately held his head. Next time I bet he will be kicked in the knee and he will grab his crotch.

Clark should be named Player of the Week. In fact anyone who kicks Ruiz should be an automatic nominee.
