All-Star First XI

Well, well, here they are, ladies and gents, and look, not a TFC player in the bunch. 2008 MLS All-Star First XI
Goalkeeper: Matt Reis (New England Revolution)

Defenders: Jimmy Conrad (Kansas City Wizards), Frankie Hejduk (Columbus Crew), Michael Parkhurst (New England Revolution)

Midfielders: David Beckham (Los Angeles Galaxy), Cuauhtemoc Blanco (Chicago Fire), Shalrie Joseph (New England Revolution), Sacha Kljestan (Chivas USA), Robbie Rogers (Columbus Crew)

Forwards: Kenny Cooper (FC Dallas), Landon Donovan (Los Angeles Galaxy)

Of course, one TFC star likely make the All-Star roster still is Maurice Edu. Here's all the info on the game.

Interesting tidbits include LD getting the highest percentage of coach, GM and player votes. He got lower percentages from the media and fans.

Sacha Kljestan, meanwhile, got higher coach/GM and player percentages than Cuauhtemoc Blanco.

Becks got the highest percentage of fan votes, but that was more than doubled by the number of media who voted for him.

the only tfc player that i thought was in the top tier of the league is amado guevara, but he hasn't played enough games for me to put him in my first 11

Bakary Soumare and Gonzalo Segares are the two best defenders in the league and they don't make the starting lineup -- even w/the media, coaches and front office voting?!?

Yeah, they got ripped off. Soumare, Segares, one of them should have made it in place of Conrad.

Where's Ching on this Best 11? What does the MLS see in Cooper that Bob Bradley does not?
