Hot TRADE!

Word is Chivas USA has traded Amado Guevara. We're chasing this story as I type. If true, the Guevara for DP slot would be the worst trade in recent history, perhaps ever in MLS.

Here's the deal as we've heard it: Amado Guevara to Toronto FC for Paulo Nagamura and a draft pick.

Kudos to Andrea. She got the scoop.

Just means Mo Johnston will lose Nagamura Who is a YI. Then he will have to boot another SI off the roster to make room for Guevera. So essentially Chivas will get a player and a pick, but TFC will have to give up 2 players and a pick.

Goff mentioned this rumor in his chat today on the WaPo website. I guess Chivas is just trying to keep ahead of RSL in the "bad trades" dept. (Nolly looked pretty good in Sunday's reserve match vs. Columbus, btw.)

I'm thinking CUSA is lost when it comes to player personnel. A DP slot for AG, that was crazy. Now their trading him for a draft pick and Nagamura? Stooooooopid. The Galaxy/Beckham phenomenon is about to explode and we have no chance at signing someone "big" (hopefully on defense).CUSA is the new LA Clippers and Galaxy is the Lakers. Nice job Cue!

the first poster: When Casey was traded to the Rapids, that opened up the SI spot need for Amado

But TOFC got Kevin Goldthwaite in the trade, who is a SI in Toronto. So they did clear a spot moving Casey, but immediately filled it with the person the traded him for.
