I'll be out at Galaxy training today and hopefully David Beckham will be there as well. There have been quite a few training sessions since Beckham arrived and thus far he's only been at the Monday afternoon session days after he joined the club. Most of the media has seen him as many times as fans have: at the presentation on July 13 and at the Chelsea match on July 21 (those have been thus far our only opportunities to ask him questions).
I'm hoping today will be different and we'll get something from Beckham himself. Frankly, I'm getting tired of asking the same questions to everyone - "When is David expected back? How disappointing is it for you guys not have him on the field? etc. etc."
If he's out there today, it's a good sign for Toronto FC fans. If not, well, that doesn't necessarily mean he won't go to Toronto but the odds of it happening wouldn't be great.

Frankly, I'm getting tired of asking the same questions to everyone...
So this is another journalism question, and I'm being 100% sincere. Do you really have to ask folks that every day? If you're tired of asking and I'm sure everyone is tired of answering....
For something like this, there's no real chance to get 'the scoop' is there? Won't the team just give an update when there's news to share?
Right now, the big story around the Galaxy is David Beckham and his ankle injury. If he's not at training, we need an update. Usually, it's been the same thing: his ankle is improving but he still can't play on it; he's been getting treatment; the team is still hopeful he can train soon.
So yes, unfortunately we need to continue asking the same questions about Beckham. Of course, we'll also ask other questions such as reaction from the game on Tuesday, thoughts about SuperLiga semis, thoughts about their upcoming road swing through Toronto, DC and New England and things like that.
But as far as the injury and Beckham, that'll be the first question posed to Frank Yallop today of Beckham doesn't train.
If he does train, of course, the questions will be much different.
The thing is, Frank has been running light practices because there have been so many games lately, and a lot of the players are nicked up. Preseason is when teams run their heaviest practices - to whip players into shape. As the grind of the season wears on, it's more about keeping players mentally fresh and positive, so practices are by nature less intensive and exhausting. You want to save stuff for games. However, Beckham's going to need to regain fitness. I expect he's running on a treadmill somewhere.
What about the "Ankles on a Plane" angle we've heard so much about? That valid? Isn't Toronto about twice as far as Dallas - how can we expect Becks to go if it's so brutal to take flights (All Star Game not included).
Hello
LB
Can you post news if he trained or not. I am in Toronto and my friend is flying up for the game but he is not playing he is going to save the cost
Thanks
ps with or wothout him TFC will win 3-2 even though we are almost missing our entire strating 11.
I don't care if Beckham plays on Sunday or not. As long as we get a result. I mean it's Toronto and they're sturggling with injuries. I'd be disappointed with anything less than 3 points/
