Brazil, Brazil

The lineup for the Sept. 8 game versus the U.S.

GOALKEEPERS:
Doni (Roma), Julio Cesar (Inter Milan). DEFENDERS: Maicon (Inter Milan), Daniel Alves (Sevilla), Alex Silva (São Paulo), Lúcio (Bayern Munich), Juan (Roma), Alex (Chelsea), Kleber (Santos), Gilberto (Hertha Berlin). MIDFIELDERS: Gilberto Silva (Arsenal), Mineiro (Hertha Berlin), Josué (VfL Wolfsburg), Fernando (Bordeaux), Elano (Manchester City), Kaká (AC Milan), Julio Baptista (Real Madrid), Diego (Werder Bremen). FORWARDS: Ronaldinho (Barcelona), Robinho (Real Madrid), Vagner Love (CSKA Moscow), Afonso (SC Heerenveen).

Yep, folks, the Copa America didn't get Ronaldinho, but the U.S. does.
Good stuff.

You mean roster, not lineup
;-)

Lineup can be any list of people. I didn't say starting lineup.

When you say 'lineup', I think of the Cincinnati Bengals football team and a police station.

As for Brazil, do you think the USSF can get FIFA to pass legislation that when the players exchange jerseys at the end, they are then cup-tied to the new team? Surely we could sneak that one in without anyone really noticing. Somebody call Jack Warner on it - he seems to be able to get away with a lot.

Todd, I know you're joking, but for some players, it actually is a visit to the U.S. that convinces them that they might one day like to play here.

They'll want to come until they find out that some of the teams play on carpet.

Yeah, I'd say the players that have to perform on crappy fields are turned off for sure.
