A somewhat quiet week for the boys in Mexico. Three players played 90 minutes apiece in the second division while New Mexico's native son made his return from injury in a lopsided Santos victory. But easily the most active game was from a Texas-born, Pachuca stalwart.
Jose Francisco Torres - Played 61 minutes in Pachuca's 1-1 tie with Monterrey. Torres set up Pachuca's only goal with a well-executed corner kick but was sent off in the 61st minute on a rough challenge.
Michael Orozco - Played 90 minutes in San Luis' 1-1 tie with Tecos.
Edgar Castillo - Played 90 minutes in Santos' 6-1 win over Atlas.
Daniel Hernandez - Did not play in Jaguares 1-1 draw at Toluca.
Sonny Guadarrama - Played 90 minutes in Monarcas 1a. A 0-0 draw against Tigres B.
Sammy Ochoa - Scored game-winning goal in Tecos Primera A's 2-1 win over Tampico Madero. Ochoa, who went the distance, scored in the 39th minute.
Jesus Padilla - Played 90 minutes in Tapatio's 2-1 loss to Cruz Azul Hidalgo.
