Hale shoma chetori?

A while back, I was asked about whether the Galaxy were really working on scheduling a friendly match with Iran's national team.

Well, they are trying to put that together.

A Galaxy tour to the Middle East is also on the horizon.

Politics or not I love Iran and I would love to see us play a friendly with them as long as it's scheduled properly around our season.

I can attest to the support of the Iranian national team by Persians in the U.S. who hate the regime. I had a few Persian friends in college and I even played on their intramural soccer team. They were all either apolitical or against the regime, but all of them supported the Iranian national team. Its not like people forget about their culture and nation just because it gets hijacked by crazy radicals. I think this game will be a big success. I just hope its played at the HDC and not the Colisseum. I’ve never been to the latter, but I’ve heard very bad things.

A game would be fine, why not make it happen? Off the field, that Iranian regime is exremely frightening. Read "Guests of the Ayatollah" by Mark Bowden - eye opening.
