Olympic roster revealed

Here it is. The Galaxy have no players on this squad, unless one counts former players like Nathan Sturgis and Robbie Findley. Chivas USA's Sacha Kljestan is on the squad, but no word on whether he's the captain.

I was sad to see Mike Randolph dropped, but hopefully it will give the Galaxy more time to work together and live up to their potential.

I was also disappointed that Arturo Alvarez was dropped.

Randolph had almost overacheived by getting to the camp in the first place.

But there are other interesting omissions. No Benny Feilhaber? Or Robbie Rogers?

It's puzzling, sure, but that's when I wish the camp was held in town. I'd have a better idea as to the why's, I'm sure.

I read Rogers had an injury. Never thought much of Feilhaber. He was a splash in the pan via goal against Mexico and time has proven that he is not worth what Europeans paid for him.

Glad to see the ex Galaxy standout rookies Nathan Sturgis and Robbie Findley make it. I would have been very intrigued to see what Ruud Gullit could have done with them seeing the way that Gavin, McDonald, Jordon, and Allen have performed early on. I hope Lalas hangs on to these youngsters for a change and let's them develop over a couple years.

This team is doomed!!! Novak thinks he has a bunch of 6'-4" European players that will win with long balls and set pieces....they don't even have their best (Senior team or U23's) linking mid-fielder in Feilhaber (not just my opinion) and although his goal for Mexico was a once in life time goal, that doesn't change the fact the no one sees the field like he does any US team. And yes he is struggling to find time for Darby, but if they were so unhappy with him why is he still there (not on loan) and why are there published reports that he runs circles around the other players in practice...a struggling team is not going to take chances on playing a young american.
