Me? Me a celebrity?

I finally got recognized. Yep - your little soccer reporter. And by somebody famous, no less. After the Mia/Nomar charity match, I was getting set to interview Rivers Cuomo, lead singer/writer for the band Weezer, for a quick quote when he cocked his head slightly and said, well, listen for yourself.

Sure, I was the giddy geek at that moment, but at the same time, I know what this really signifies. The soccer fan credentials of Rivers Cuomo are beyond question. If you know who I am, you're probably reading a lot of soccer stuff.

That is pretty cool that he follows the site. Are you a fan of the band? I've seen them a few times (they do a great show) and have all of their albums (although many of the hardcore fans think it's all been downhill since Pinkerton). So was Rivers' any good? I never realized he was so into footie.

Nice recovery AC!

Next celeb match, you'll be playing not reporting.

What was that song Rivers wrote for the Nats?

Rivers wasn't bad, actually, and yes, I'm Weezer fan, well, inspite of the fact that I once had to work at a retail job where they had "Buddy Holly" on a video loop. We couldn't change out the video, so I got really sick of that song.
