League versus Liga

Ok, as of right now - Houston will advance in the SuperLiga. The question now is, does Club America try to salvage some pride with a win versus Morelia, or lie down so one Mexican team can advance from the group?

I guess we have to trust that all the teams will always play to win.

And win they did. Pretty, pretty goal from Insúa.

América hasn't looked great this pre-season (Copa Panamericana, Superliga), but I have to believe they'll come together once the Apertura starts. I'm loving what I've seen of Insúa.

Yeah, they sure did, though I liked the fight-back Morelia showed again. A good match, though it doomed Mexico to only send one team to the semifinals.

So, there will be an MLS team in the final - no matter what.

Yep. I'm hoping Galaxy/Pachuca.

Their first game was good. Galaxy weren't lucky, but they did sort of escape with a win.

They've tightened the ship it seems and Pachuca as well.

Insúa is exactly the type of player that a non-salary (handi)capped team can just go out and get, to satisfy fans of good fútbol.

Schellotto is a step in the right direction for MLS, as is Blanco, somewhat not in the peak - peak of their respective careers, like Insúa might be, but one takes what one can get, I guess.
