Jilted

Oh, burn, here the U.S. ditches Mexico for a date with Brazil.

Mexico is tearfully saying (with flowers, how thoughtful!), "But I thought we had a date arranged!"

Responds the American blonde, "Sorry, he (Brazil) does things with more flava!"

I like these cartoons. It's a reflection on how they poke fun at themselves. It would be nice to see someone in the American soccer scene do something similar.

Andrea lives for this sort of thing. She loves when Mexican soccer (club and country) suffers or is "humiliated" as a result of the U.S. while proclaiming she likes Cruz Azul. Must be self-hatred or something. I have seen several Mexican-Americans have the same feelings. She claims it's all light-hearted fun only when it's at someone else's expense. Pretty amusing!

I'm not Mexican-American, so the self-hatred is a stretch.

Unless you're accusing Guzman of such such a thing? In which case, it still doesn't apply, because I don't think he's from the U.S. at all.

You know I am sick an tired of the AC hates Mexican soccer crap that goes on on this blog. If you may act like you are only joking but your jokes reveal what you really think of AC. I don't even know if AC is Mexican but I think her writings show a deep understanding and respect of both American and Mexican soccer. I believe the 2nd anonymous post reveals personal issues that you need to workout outside of posting on this blog. Stay on topic buddy.

Anyway, I was wrong - I've been misreading the scrawl by which the cartoonist, Gabriel, signs off. It's Gabriel.
