Baseball was definitely a switch. There's a lot to keep track of, especially in Little League, where they switch positions numerous times and have pinch hitters, runners and certain sub rules to make sure enough players see action during the game.
The Chandler Arizona team had steamrolled through most of the competition, but it seemed as if Solano Beach had a solid chance behind the pitching of their mop-topped surfer boy, Daniel Reitzler.
Though Arizona jumped out to a two-run lead, the Solano Beach crew tied it up. Going to the fourth inning, it looked to be anyone's game. Then Chandler brought the hurt, getting runs off a number of different pitchers that Solano Beach threw onto the mound hoping to stem the bleeding. 7-3, final score.
It was nice to switch things up, but I'm heading back to covering soccer with a new appreciation for the game.

I'd rather be lit on fire than have to watch the LLWS...
