MLS released the in-active All-Star roster, but not sure if it should be the "inactive" All-Star roster.
Anyway, it's a list of 14 players who presumably would have made the All-Star team had it either followed the traditional Conference vs. Conference format other sports use or if they'd allow more than 18 players to the game day roster.
I didn't disagree too much with the 18-man roster, though I would have swapped Ronnie O'Brien for Guillermo Barros Schelotto.
But this list has me scratching my head a little. I have no idea what Claudio Reyna is doing on this list, though. Also, what's Justin Mapp done to merit inclusion? His one assist this year must have been massive.
And where's Maykel Galindo?

Where's Lucio Emilio? I think this "title" has to do more with bonuses being paid than on field performance.
Emilio's exclusion from any kind of MLS All-Star team is a near tragic.
Andy Dorman. most obvious omission ever.
Any idea on the selection criteria for the final 14? Is it just the left overs from the 25% method to pick the first team? That may be the reason for so many Toronto players and the shaft of Emilio and Galyndo
is there a way to find what writers voted for who? so i know who to ignore.
Looks like Michael Lewis got some insight. According to a story on bigapplesoccer.com:
Because of the collective bargaining agreement between the MLS players union and the league, the top 32 players are to be named to an all-star team, a club official said Thursday afternoon.
