Liguilla day seven

Cruz Azul tied San Luis 1-1 on Saturday thanks to a late Pablo Zeballos goal and la Maquina advanced to the Mexican league final.

Cruz Azul is trying for their first league title since the Invierno 97 season. The team is close to breaking that long stretch but will have to beat either Santos or Monterrey to do so.

Michael Orozco did not play for San Luis.

Hey Luis, just watching Minuto Cero here in Argentina (the pregame show) and they had a discussion about the various managers around the world taking new jobs. According to one Argentine sportscaster, Sven-Goran will be presented as the coach of Mexico on June 7. Heard about this?

They then had a discussion about the fact that Mexico is addicted to bringing in foreign coaches all the time (whether it is the national team or club teams). They wondered why they don't hire someone from Mexico who understands Mexican soccer or at least South American soccer. They also questioned whether Sven-Goran would be a good fit given that they do not think Mexico will change its style of play.

Just informing you
