Did anyone ask Beckham about bumping van den Bergh in the head with the ball on the sideline?
That was priceless.
First, he's pissed-off Beckham and deliberately knocks van den Bergh in the head. Then a fraction of a second later he realizes he could get a yellow card, becomes good-guy Beckham, smiles and rubs Bergh's head.
What was up with Beck's corner kicks? He seemed a bit off tonight.
Van Den Bergh was standing in front of Becks, screening him, delaying the quick throw in, hence the bump on the head by Becks. Nothing wrong with that.
Becks on VDB: "It’s always nice to have a battle on the field. It’s what you play for, it’s what you enjoy. There were a couple of times when we clashed tonight, but nothing out of the ordinary. I think we both played a hard game. Clashes always happen on the field and tonight was one of those occasions."

It was #2 Kevin Goldwaithe that got hit in the head with the ball, not Dave VdB
