Raphael Wicky went back to Germany after spending last week with Chivas USA. Preki said the club is still in talks with Wicky and they've done as much as they can do.
"We are just waiting to hear. We’re still in talks with him so hopefully within the next 24 hours we’ll have a better idea. He’s back (in Germany) and talking to his club... We would love to sign him but it’s out of our hands right now. It’s his and his club’s (decision) so they have to come to an agreement between themselves before we step into it."
I also asked Preki if a possible deal would involve a transfer fee and he said no.
"We don’t have funds for transfers anyway."
Whatever the case may be, this won't linger very much. The transfer window closes on Wednesday so we'll likely find out soon enough whether Chivas USA will add the services of the Bundesliga-groomed Swiss international soon enough or not.

St. Jude, helper of the hopeless, pray for us.
St. Jude, worker of miracles, pray for us.
No money for a transfer. Vergara is a cheapskate.
So, I'm guessing no on this.
Bummer.
