It seems that soccer has a two-faced reputation. Either people think of the sweet soccer mom or the sport where you're not allowed to use your hands, or they think of brutal, vicious fans.

I'm really sorry to be negative, but I am REALLY not liking this "read more" feature.
Is it going to last forever? :(
I'm going to second that. I check this site everyday and that's making me spend less time here.
The good part about the "read more" feature is that it allows long posts, like the running blogs especially, to not take up all of the front page for people who aren't interested in that. The problem with the "read more" is that for short little posts, it doesn't make as much sense. But it can't really be turned on and off - or at least, we don't know hoe to do it.
I think part of it is my fault, though, and I should avoid short little posts, or combine all the links of stuff I'm reading into one post. I'll do that in the future.
i don't mind the short posts, i scroll down till i find something interesting.

just put the link to the stories above the read more tab. pretty simple to avoid it for short posts...
if that is what you really want to do. but more page views could be good to show for advertisers.
