Luis has a point about changing colors and traditions, but that changes all the time for players. I remember Mehdi Ballouchy telling me that there wasn't a team that he disliked more than Colorado.
I also don't think Kyle Beckerman expected to be traded. But as far as traditions, jerseys are redesigned all the time.
