Off to Holland

Andres Guardado will likely be joining countryman Carlos Salcido in Holland. PSV Eindhoven and Atlas de Guadalajara are reportedly working out a deal that would allow Guardado the chance to play in the Dutch Eredivisie. Reportedly Atlas wants 8 million Euro or about 11 million USD.

If it happens, the transfer would be a fantastic opportunity for Guardado. He's young and talented and the Dutch league would help him develop tremendously. The move would be unique in the sense that he's younger than the other Mexicans who went abroad recently as Salcido, Pavel Pardo, Ricardo Osorio and Kikin Fonseca all left after the World Cup are all older than the 20-year-old Guardado. It also would mirror Rafael Marquez's move as Marquez left Atlas for AS Monaco when he was 20.
