I called Traffic Sports today myself. They're in charge of running the Guatemala/El Salvador game here in LA this weekend, and I needed a credential.
They also own Miami FC, but as this article indicates, their soccer empire is far more wide-reaching.

It's a crooked organization.
Is this same type of 3rd party player ownership that involved Tevez and Mascherano a while back?
Apparently so, but as I mentioned before, Traffic Sports is involved in a lot of different ventures. I believe they also run soccer camps, hold promotional rights for a bunch of soccer events, and have plans to own other teams, besides Miami FC.
