just for the sake of argument, moreno isn't strictly original. he might have been there in the first year, and ultimately played in United's triumph in the mls cup final (the first of their 10 trophies, to galaxy's 7), but he joined the squad from middlesborough midseason. i must say though, it's remarkable that cobi jones has stayed with the galaxy throughout the league's history. it's a true testimony to him as a professional, and to the galaxy for rewarding a player for his loyalty when the turnover of players in this league is very high. for the record, united does have the best fans in the league, and landycakes should expect to hear it from them tonight!
Maybe DC should just go for the "best MLS fans in the U.S." crown. From what every journalist tells me who has been to Toronto (and these aren't all L.A. journalists, so I trust their objectivity)it's Toronto fans, hands down.
I guess I just think of any player who participated in the first season as an original, but strictly speaking, you're absolutely right about Moreno.

The United...I love it!
The United....I love it! Just like calling Barry Bonds home 'Frisco'.
That should rile up the self-proclaimed 'best fans in MLS'.
Yeah right....Newbie!!!!
The United... is that like The Departed?
A fellow writer once had a copy editor replace the name Chris with Calvin, which in and of itself would have been a horrific mistake.
The player was Chris Klein, which made the error rather egregious.
