I'm sure Toronto fans don't appreciate being mistaken for Galaxy fans. But how dense does one have to be to see that the fans who booed Beckham are very clearly NOT Galaxy fans?
Apparently the Brit papers don't care. They're too busy following a script that says the fans of Beckham's own team are mad at him and want him to play injured. Pathetic.

And why do you care? This sort of thing seems to bother you so much and is annoying. The world is full of misinformation, which you yourself seem to be part of sometimes on this blog. Try not to get irritated on minutae. If you start looking for veracity in British tabloids, you're in for some serious disappointment.
BTW, the story you reference seems to be "spot-on" other than the misleading title.
I care because generally, reporting is about getting information that's true, or at least vaguely so, to the public. It's a very simple, obvious error as well.
Obviously, someone in England also cares, because they have changed the final caption of the story online. The original version specifically pinned the sign on Galaxy fans - which was really ridiculous, given that the sign is labled with Toronto's logo.
The title (still is), and the original caption, were completely misleading.
If the story is about rival fans getting on Beckham, then the story is about MLS supporters showing some passion for thier own teams, giving an opponent stick.
I do care about accuracy, so if you think this blog has been full of misinformation, I'd appreciate you pointing out how and where.
