It's funny the things you take for granted. I must have gone to Disneyland dozens of times as a child. It's about a 40-minute drive from my house, a bit less if the freeways are empty. For Maykel Galindo, though, Disneyland may as well have been on the moon.Until Monday, of course.
It's funny too that he posed next to Laurent Merlin. Like Galindo, Merlin's own story is a bit of an odyssey. However, when I asked Laurent a few weeks ago about having visited the United States before, he said he had been to Disneyland as a child. Galindo had no such hopes until he decided a couple of years ago to seek a better life for himself.
