Eerie

There are no fans in the stands for the Necaxa-Santos game. I don't mean like there is a poor attendance figure - there are literally no fans there.

Necaxa was punished by the FMF for its fans' unruly behavior during last week's game against Jaguares. Instead of fining the club, the fed simply barred fans from entering the game. Nothing says wake up and do something about your security issues than a game's worth of lost revenue.

I don't think that would necessarily fly in the U.S. but it is an interesting method of punishment.

I wonder if steps like this to punish the escalating acts in Italy would have nipped that issue of out-of-control fan behavior in the bud earlier. Now no games, period, are being played in Italy.
