Waste of time

Well, I just wasted some valuable time watching Houston and Saprissa play to a nil-nil draw. I guess I thought too much of Houston and figured they'd actually play with a sense of urgency. But by the time the club got around to actually playing decent soccer, the finishing was terrible.

Enough of the preseason excuses. Houston should have buried the chances they had, whether this game was in March or April or November or whenever. They dropped the ball on this one, well, technically they grazed the right post on a point-blank header that should have been in the back of the net. Multiple times.

Now Houston faces the unenviable task of needing a win in Costa Rica, or at worst a draw and penalty kicks. Yeah, good luck on that one.

It was a waste of time. Terrible finishing by Houston.

I used to think it was the physical nature of MLS games that prevented goals from being scored. After watching that game I have changed my mind. The players just don't have the talent and nerve in front of goal. Ching and DeRo are two of the top players in the league, but tonight even their finishing was rubbish.

I predict a 1-1 game in CR with DS going through on penalties.

DC wins 2-1, but Pac goes through.

The only DP players worth buying are super creative, attacking midfielder and strikers with known finishing abilities.

Thats why MLS is bashed, results and teams like the galaxy, Houston, DC and others can't compete in tournaments like CCC or Superliga :(
