Soccer over baseball

Maykel Galindo on why he took up soccer instead of Cuba's number one sport, baseball.

"I was eight years old and a coach was splitting us up into different teams in different sports. He asked who wanted to play soccer and I raised my hand. He put me on a team with some other boys from the neighborhood. The next year, I went to IDE, a school for athletics and I stuck with soccer. I just remember wanting to play soccer and that feeling has never left."
