Not sure if this AP story has made it out to the masses but hopefully it doesn't confuse people, though it's likely that it could.
The story says that the US will play Sweden on Jan. 19 at Home Depot Center and has a quote from Bob Bradley about the players who will likely take part in the camp.
Okay, all well and good, but then it gets confusing.
"Bradley said that players such as Landon Donovan, Tim Howard, Carlos Bocanegra, Oguchi Onyewu, Steve Cherundolo, DaMarcus Beasley, and Clint Dempsey will form the core of the national team."
Well, yeah, he did say that. However, it may seem like they would be the core of the team for the Sweden match when in fact only one of those players might be in camp at the time.
That's probably not confusing to anyone who has followed the national team for any amount of time but for the casual fan it might not make too much sense.
One piece of info that was good to find out is that the World Cup qualifying draw will be held on Nov. 25, so by then we'll know the United States' initial path to qualifying.

I like our players, and there is quality there, but jeez it really looks like we are missing something with these lineups. Not enough dangerous attacking players. Old story with us I know, but without consistent and reliable goal scoring does the rest really matter?
