CJ Brown on Cuauhtemoc Blanco:

I’ve never realized how big he is. They love this guy. It’s more than just soccer. He is great with his fans and tries to spent time with them as much as possible. Fans show up everywhere in Club America jerseys. I can see why. He’s a good player, he’s worked hard and he’s dedicated himself to this sport.

A lot of the crowds have been for us – well for him. They’re yelling, ‘Blanco!’ but I’ll take a little bit of that, too. He’s brought a lot to the game.

He plays and he puts on a show and they love it.

I get caught watching sometimes. It reminds me of the Fire’s first season, when I’d get caught watching Peter Nowak and Lubos Kubik on the ball because they were so good. Now we’ve got Blanco to do that.
