Kansas City had a bye week on opening day so I looked ahead to see who had a bye week this weekend. I knew the Galaxy wasn't playing this weekend - they open their home schedule Thursday against FC Dallas. But then I saw that there were six games this weekend so between the 12 teams in action plus the Galaxy there would be no bye weeks. So someone's gotta play two then.
Turns out, FC Dallas has a game here in Carson on Thursday, then will play at New York on Sunday.
Now, I'm sure each team will complain about the schedule at some point this season and will use it as an excuse for poor results. So, this week is FC Dallas' turn to complain. Actually, let me do the complaining for them:
"How can you have us playing at Thursday game in LA and a Sunday game in New York? Shouldn't a stipulation of playing Thursday-Sunday be that either you get one home game or the two games are within reasonable distance of each other, say New England and New York or Salt Lake and Colorado? And then you have us play Sunday-Thursday-Sunday later this month? Come on!!!"
Okay, there. Done complaining for FC Dallas.
