Monday rankings (April 16)

Okay, it's still Sunday here but what the hell? Here goes my Monday rankings.

1. Chicago. One goal per game good for four points.
2. Kansas City. Where did that offense come from?
3. Colorado. Herc is a man; now if offside trap would have worked...
4. New York. No goals with Claudio Reyna, three goals without. Go figure.
5. Houston. Four points and all but can't say they've been impressive.
6. FC Dallas. Yes, they got their asses handed to them but the Galaxy win was good.
7. New England. Good news: Twellman brace, 4-0 win; Bad news: it was against Toronto.
8. Chivas USA. Couldn't finish to save their lives.
9. Columbus. zzzzzz
10. Galaxy. Midfield looked troubling; lots of holes on this team right now.
11. Real Salt Lake. Ellinger death watch underway.
12. D.C. United. Paper tiger.
13. Toronto FC. Having covered Chivas USA in 2005, I sympathize with all TFC fans/players/media. It's gonna be a looooong season.

Not surprised by NY scoring without Reyna. Afterall, when did the US score its first goal in the WC, about 10 minutes after he finally left the field against Ghana?
