Window closed

So the transfer window came and went and we still have rumors floating around. Some people are probably wondering why we don't all these incoming players signed and ready to play now that the window is closed.

The window closed on April 15, which was Sunday. A league source told me that the window might have been extended one day because the deadline fell on a Sunday, but that wasn't yet finalized (I talked to the source early Monday).

Also, an offer must have been made before the window closed. So in theory an MLS club could have put in an offer late Monday (if the extension was granted) and a deal could still happen 7-10 days from now. But if a club tries to put in an offer for a player overseas today, they'll have to wait.

Even if Guillermo Barros Schelotto and Juan Pablo Angel are the last ones to join MLS this time around, the next window opens on June 15 so we won't have to wait too long.
