Selling tickets

The Galaxy won't have problems selling tickets when David Beckham gets here but it looks like they have plenty of good seats left for Thursday's game. Now, their dangling the chance to see Becks if you come out for their season opener on Thursday against FC Dallas.

The Galaxy is offering "The Beckham Pack" which for between $50-500 you can get tickets to Thursday's opener as well as the Galaxy's game against Chivas USA on Aug. 23. That will be his first league home game. He might play against July 21 against Chelsea and/or in the SuperLiga the week after but nothing before that.

Of course, they kindly reminded people of that.

Aside from purchasing a full season ticket or a mini-plan, this deal is the only way to guarantee yourself the chance to see David Beckham at The Home Depot Center in a Galaxy uniform.

Still, even without this last-ditch effort to put people in the seats on Thursday, I can't imagine the Galaxy having fewer than 14,351 - the pathetic figure Chivas USA drew for Saturday's opener.
