I'll be the first to admit that we don't cover the USL much, partly because there's not a local team, but even though there's no promotion or relegation of teams in Major League Soccer, there's a sort of individual system whereby top players in USL can move up to MLS teams. Brian Ching did that, spending a year with the Seattle Sounders.
Some MLS teams have loan agreements with USL squads to try to get their players more game time and experience, especially since MLS reserve league games are limited to only 12 matches. In this way, the USL teams play an important part in U.S. soccer, developing players, especially since there are teams in areas MLS can't be found, like Florida or Oregon or Vancouver.
Anyway, the ULS Division One is taking a new route to gain exposure for its teams - broadcasting games through the Internet.

last i checked san fernando valley quakes were in L.A. county.
I guess my post wasn't specific enough. I meant USL Division 1 teams. The SFV Quakes are PDL.

The three of us are all Atlanta Silverbacks season ticket holders and avid followers of the USL, so we'll probably end up having a ton of coverage once the season starts.
so does that mean that pdl's don't get any love from a.c? ;)
