Chivas - D.C. inching-along blog

-- Chivas answered. Bofo scored to level the game 1-1. Morales chipped a pass to Medina on the left flank who centered to Bofo who redirected it past Perkins.

-- For one night at least, both D.C. and America fans can take pleasure in a Jaime Moreno goal.

-- Bofo just took out Brian Carroll with a hard tackle in the 39th minute. So far, though, the game hasn't been overly physical. D.C. is pretty much controlling the game thus far but Chivas has looked dangerous on a few plays.

-- So the goal sequence: Emilio carried the ball more than 20 yards into the area. Luis Michel came off his line and did so horrendously. The ball bounced over to Jaime Moreno. He flicked it up and sent a bicycle kick shot on goal. Hector Reynoso tried to clear the ball but it went just over his foot. D.C. 1, Chivas 0. Fantastic goal.

-- It's in the 35th minute now and no score. So far, D.C. is playing Chivas toe-to-toe. No team has had a clear advantage in the match. D.C. has had the ball down in Chivas' third more but Chivas had a couple of dangerous scoring chances.

Sow. What a goal. Jaime Moreno scored a fantastic goal. Bicycle kick goal. Wow. Wow.

Not making any promises but I'll try and update this as the game goes on. Starting lineups are in:

Chivas: Michel; Magallon, Reynoso, Rodriguez; Pineda, Morales, Mejia, Martinez; Medina, Bautista, Santana.

DC: Perkins;
Erpen, Boswell, Namoff; Gros, Carroll, Olsen, Simms; Gomez, Moreno, Emilio.
