Soccer in St. Louis, a little bit of history.

Thanks, A.C. I forgot to mention that Pat Noonan, who was also on the pitch, is also from the middle of the Mississippi.

There is a float every Saint Patrick's day here commemorating the 1950 US victory over England.

Has there been an announcement b/w St. Louis and Philly?

Not yet, I believe, but one is expected before the year ends, or in early January.

Thanks A.C. -- Interesting stuff. Hopefully we'll see Philly and St. Louis getting teams soon.

I'd love to see St. Louis (and Milwaukee) get MLS teams soon. It would make for a great rivalry & travelling opportunities for Fire fans.

Hey Andrea, how do you see Clint Mathis fitting in with the Galacticos?

Pretty good move for the NYRB if you consider that they got Mathis for a 4th rounder and traded him to the Galaxy for a 3rd round pick.
