Yesterday our little blog broke 1,000 visitors during a single day- a line never before crossed in the existence of Sideline Views.
What helped put the traffic over the top wasn't an insightful post or a breaking story - it was a picture of Charlie Davies.
We noticed early in the morning that we had a sizable number of visits from Sweden. Apparently we were linked to a soccer message board there and Hammarby fans were excited to see their boy in action for his national team.
They lit up our blog just to look at him in a couple of photos. That's all we had on Charlie, because we hadn't even talked to him yet, at least not this camp.
I did yesterday, and Charlie mentioned how loyal and enthusiastic fans were in Sweden. I believe him.

Congratulations on reaching 1,000 hits. As a regular attendee of soccer matches at HDC, I've bookmarked your site and check it out daily. Keep up the good work.
BTW - As someone who also has a blogsite (NBA based one), I understand the excitement of increased web traffic (especially the random foreign hits). Pretty cool, eh?
